Beeztees and Sustainability

Beeztees is all about creating happy moments. This starts with the small moments between owner and pet, but we roll out this mission further to our customers, employees and the environment. And that goes beyond designing fun toys and developing the most delicious snacks for pets. We pursue the ambition to operate more sustainably. For example, our mission is to create unique products, with an eye for our environment. Our social objective that arises from this is as follows:

Product range

By 2025, Beeztees will have a sustainable alternative for customers and consumers within each relevant product group: the sustainable choice. For this we develop an “ECO label” and we make the origin of our products as transparent as possible.

Packaging

We find the reuse of shipping boxes logical, with this we already save 270.000 kilos of new cardboard every year. With new products, we aim to reduce the packaging or replace it with environmentally friendly alternatives. By 2022 all our secondary packaging will be recyclable.

Logistics

Through cooperation with our logistics partner, we already bundle 40% of our food and non-food orders into 1 delivery. As a result, we drive 585 thousand km less each year and we save more than 400 tons of CO2 emissions annually, which is equivalent to the annual emissions of 20 households.

Retail

You don’t do corporate social responsibility alone. That is why Beeztees contributes to the sustainability goals of (retail) partners by developing sustainable concepts together with them and setting up initiatives that lead to sustainability in the chain.

Staff

In order to create broad support for our ambitions, we give employees room to think along proactively and we will also develop tools in the coming years to contribute to this at an individual level.

Premises

A better environment starts with yourself. That is why we separate our waste, we do not use more energy than necessary and our building has an A energy rating. In 2025 our building will be completely energy neutral.
